Nickolas B. Sherrill

Nick received his B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He served three and a half years as a Wake County Ex-Officio Judge of Probate and Assistant Clerk of Superior Court under the Honorable Lorrin Freeman while simultaneously supervising the Wake County Estates Division. After his service in the Clerk’s office, Nick spent nearly a year as a Wake County Assistant District Attorney gaining invaluable trial experience and furthering his knowledge and expertise in litigation. He also taught an Estates and Trusts course at Meredith College as part of their Paralegal Certification Program for a number of years.
Nick joined the firm in 2015 and was admitted as a partner in 2018. His practice focuses on estate and guardianship litigation; estate planning; estate, guardianship, and trust administration; wills, trusts, and elder law planning. In his spare time, Nick is an avid sports fan and enthusiast. When he is not at the office he often wishes he were golfing or attending a Canes game; however, he can more typically be found with his wife Britney, chasing after their spirited children.
