Trust Administration

For clients who serve as trustees, our attorneys counsel them on the responsibilities of managing a trust as well as assisting them to navigate the legal requirements for that role. A trustee is charged with the responsibility to manage, invest, reinvest, and protect the assets of the trust; prepare and file required returns for the trust; pay taxes which the trust owes and expenses which the trust incurs; and, most importantly, to distribute trust income and assets in the manner directed by the trust agreement.
